Friends and family, my sister-in-law, Leith, and my friend, Gillian, and I have started our own business. We paint tablecloths. This is just for starters. Soon, we hope to expand into placemats, runners, napkins, duvets, pillows, and so forth. Everything is done by hand and each one is distinct and unique. We also would appreciate any of your comments and feedback (and let's not lie....a purchase here or there......). It's been terrific to be involved with something that I can do from home, set my own hours and still be involved in something other than childspeak. It's been even more fun working with Leith and Gillian. They are smart, wonderful, and insanely talented women and they've become my close friends through this venture. That has been probably the best part. We've worked incredibly hard and even bickered just a snitch. Even more, we've laughed ourselves silly until we've cried and peed our pants, staying up into the wee hours together painting, designing, eating, brainstorming, planning, and hoping.
