Today was better. Maeve is doing much better. They fed her today and so far she's keeping everything down. She's not eating as much as they want her to, but that was to be expected. They put a tube to her stomach and put the rest of the formula down there via this tube. We're really happy with this little bit of progress. She still is jaundiced and is under the bili-lights continuously, which makes holding her a rare treat. Hopefully with the food and the bili-light time, she'll be held much more tomorrow. I'm still hesitant to take a picture of her for a post. She has so many wires and tubes coming out of her and she looks so small and frail. I feel like she'd be mad at me for posting a picture of her while she was looking like this.
Also, Maeve's adoption is now final. She was placed today. She's officially our daughter. We're really happy. Our excitement has been a little dampened with her health concerns, but we're still thrilled about this little addition to our family and can't wait to bring her home.
Our thoughts are with Kim and her family at this time too.
