For Jessica

The whole family went to the zoo for cousin Jack's birthday. Ethan was loving it!! He got to touch snakes. Like I said.......loving it!!

He's such a cutie!!

Rode the train at the zoo. Again.......loving it!! Here he is with Maeve and cousin, Jack.

Jess, I know you wanted to see some of the things that he brings home from school. I couldn't decide which, so I let him decide. Everything he does is pretty much like this. Practices his letters and his numbers. He also has to read a little everyday. A couple days ago was his parent teacher conference and his teacher loves him. She had nothing but praise for him. He's smart. He's respectful. He's friendly. He's mature. Sometimes kids will raise their hands to a question the teacher has asked and then go off on a tangent about the cat at their grandma's house. Not Ethan. He stays on subject and is focused. He's above average on all his assessments and she marks him as outstanding in all the areas of school, sociability, attentiveness, reading, writing, mathematics (kindergarten mathematics). She said that if there was a gifted program she would put Ethan in it. She is wanting to start a little enrichment program in her class for the kids who are more advanced and they will spend some time in a small group working on more challenging concepts and activities. Ethan will be in that group. Look at me, I'm all gushy. I'm not trying to brag, but we're really proud of Ethan. He is smart and he is a good kid. I wrote all this because we just wanted you to know all this about Ethan.
